How long does roof waterproofing last in Dubai?
It depends on the system and how well it is protected from UV. A protected membrane under XPS and screed lasts much longer than an exposed coating. We state the expected service life and warranty for each system in the quote.
What is XPS insulation and why use it on a roof?
XPS is extruded polystyrene board. Its closed cells resist water and carry foot traffic, so it can sit above the waterproofing membrane. It slows heat moving into the building and protects the membrane from heat and damage.
Do Dubai rules require a cool roof?
Dubai's Al Sa'fat green building system sets roof requirements for new buildings, including solar reflectance. We match the coating to the rule that applies to your project.
Do you need to remove my existing tiles?
Not always. After inspection we tell you if the old build-up can stay, or if it holds water and must come off.
